SG SUPPER CLUB OWNER DIES
Bill Flurry, founder and operator of the Joyful Noise Christian Supper Clubs from 1974 to 1994 passed away May 19th,.. after a courageous battle with cancer.

The Joyful Noise supper clubs were one of the most successful ventures, of its kind, in Southern Gospel music. The first location was in the Atlanta suburb of East Point, with other clubs following in Gwinnett County, then in Rome, Georgia and Honolulu, Hawaii. The Clubs featured buffet dining, followed by a two-hour show, including some of the best known musical artists. After retireing,.. Bill and his wife, Marilyn, traveled the Southeast as the Flurrys.

A special memorial service will be held June 1st at First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Ga., to honor the life of Bill Flurry.  Friends, family, and all he touched with his ministry are invited to attend.

I LOVE YOU GRAND DOT!
Many in attendance.. told our reporter that one of the most touching moments of the Dottie Rambo Home-Going celebration,.. was when Christian Ferguson, eight year old son of Dottie's manager Larry Ferguson, sang  "Stand By The River" and ended with "I love you Grand Dot"!  Christian and his mother.. Judy were able to attend the service Monday in Nashville. Unfortunately Larry is still in the hospital.. recovering from injuries he sustained in the May 11th bus crash.

Patient update: According to Beckie Simmons (BSA Agency) doctors are discussing the possibility of Larry Ferguson returning to Nashville to continue his recovery.  A second surgery will be necessary in the near future. Bus driver Ronnnie Meadows was to have been released from ICU by Tuesday.. and Chris Barnes (product manager/webmaster) is breathing better daily and his blood pressure has been stabilized with medicine.

WHAT GOD IS DOING WITH A SONG
Songwriter, Pastor Rick Simpson says God is doing some wonderful things with a song he wrote called: "Sinner's Prayer."  The Greesons have released the tune as a single to radio.. and it's presently #47 on the Singing News chart and #23 on Gospel Music News.

Simpson says the Greesons told him the are getting "unbelievable" response while singing his song. During the altar call at a recent event in Georgia.. there were so many people coming forward, the group had to sing "Sinner's Prayer" four times.

Paul Heil, of The Gospel Greats, has added Simpson's song to his website. Heil uses the song on the "salvation" page at www.thegospelgreats.com. Plus XM's enlighten34 has featured the song in a front page article.. talking about response, to the song from the station's listeners.

Pastor Simpson adds: "But even greater than all the above is the emails and accounts being shared about those who have been saved."  Reports say a sixty three year old man was saved at a concert after hearing "Sinner's Prayer".. and another fan's brother-in-law, a cancer patient,.. was saved two days before he died.

YIELDED MAKES CHANGES
The southern gospel trio, Yielded, announces the addition of Rich Wertin to sing tenor. Rich has a background in several areas of music and likes them all. However, he states: “I do love the blends in good southern gospel. No other music sounds the same when it comes to harmony.”  In addition to singing, Rich plays piano, harmonica, drums, and guitar. When asked about singing with Yielded.. Rich says: “I felt God saying that is where I want you to be, so here I am, singing for God.”

Press release information says the addition of Rich gives the group a completely new sound. This is the first time Yielded has featured two male voices in the trio. Group manager, John Ghormley, says: "Bringing Rich on has caused us to make a major change in arrangements but the resulting sound is a much tighter blend and opens the path to musical selections not suitable for us in the past
