GOSPEL ARTIST ENDS TOURING
SoGospelNews (www.sogospelnews.com) website is reporting that at least one artist has ended a tour due to gas prices and low attendance at churches and events. The news item says the Gospel Sounds Duet has cancelled their presently scheduled appearances. The group, full time for six years, has apparently been working about 150 dates annually.

One reader's comment on the website says: "If the offerings at concerts in churches does not improve there will be more groups having to leave the road."

Another poster says he can sympathize with the group's problem.. but adds: "How much are they limiting God by not allowing Him to supply thier needs?"

GERALD WOLFE AND LANNY WOLFE - COUSINS?
In the latest Greater Vision newsletter.. the group's "Ask Greater Vision" feature answers the Lanny Wolfe,.. Gerald Wolfe.. are you any kin? question.

A GV fan asks: "I have noticed you have recorded several songs written by Lanny Wolfe.  Are he and Gerald related?"

Gerald Answers: "Lanny Wolfe has been recognized as one of Gospel Music's greatest writers for many, many years, and we have ecorded several of his songs, including 'Cherish That Name' and 'Precious Blood'  I have met Lanny on a couple of occasions and I have many of the old Lanny Wolfe Trio recordings, but as far as either of us can tell, we are not elated.  He is still one of my favorite writers, and with a last name like 'Wolfe', he's got to be a great guy!"
