A few weeks ago, I had the tremendous blessing to spend about an hour with Dottie over the phone.  As always, she spent much of her time
encouraging me rather than talking about herself.  We dreamed big dreams together and it's hard to believe she will not be here as we press
on toward those dreams.  She was and will always be the songwriter's songwriter.  I love her and I will miss her but her precious songs live on
and on forever.  She is now in the presence of her life's greatest love. She's there with many who came to HIM because she introduced them
to HIM in a song.  They and we must all thank God for Dottie Rambo.

For the past two years I have called Dottie on Mother's Day and we would talk about 2 hours at a time. We would talk a little, cry a little, but
mostly we would do more laughing than anything. She was one of the funniest ladies I have ever met. The last couple of times we worked with
her, we would go back and forth on stage about Men and how hard they are to live with sometimes. She would just laugh that little laugh she
had and always got the last word in! She was so witty. Today, I miss talking to my friend, but I just know that she is in a far, far better place
than this place. She has met face to face the one she tried to write about all of her life, She's sheltered in the Arms of God alright, SHE IS
THERE!!!!! As much as one side of my heart is breaking right now, the other side is turning flips because she's HOME with her Lord and
Master!!

Dottie, I will forever miss your presence in the world, but I know it won't be long, until we'll ALL BE HOME!!
Until then....
Happy Mother's Day, I love you LADY!

A wonderful voice has joined that heavenly choir, though she will be missed down here.

I consider her one of my most cherished songwriting heroes. Often I would be writing songs for my own albums and I would get out an old
Rambo recording to inspire my own muse.  To me, her writing was especially wonderful because she touched that "old-time religion" chord
from my upbringing. What can be said? She helped me draw closer to God with her music. She has always been my all-time favorite Gospel
Music songwriter.

The
Anthony Burger Productions Family and Staff expresses our deepest sympathy to the family of Dottie Rambo and rejoices in the
knowledge that she has experienced the true meaning of the song she penned,
"We Shall Behold Him". Her legendary songwriting has
provided artists like Anthony the music to bless the world and encourage the listener. We will all miss her and look forward to that reunion day
in Heaven.

The first concert I EVER attended was in Louisville, KY at the
War Memorial Auditorium and The Rambos were on the program, along with
The Oak Ridge Boys, The Downings and J D Sumer & The Stamps.   I immediately became a Rambo fan!  Dottie made a lasting impression
on my life and later my "hero" became my "friend"  I cherish my "Dottie memories"!  What a lady!  What a special child of God with an
incredible God-given talent that has blessed lives all over this world!  God has been so good to me to allow wonderful people like Dottie
Rambo to have influenced my life.  The world is a much better place having had Dottie Rambo's presence.  Dottie, I know you finally have the
"Mansion" you wrote about!

I know Dottie is in heaven in the arms of God right now, but our earth angel will surely be missed. Dottie was a dear friend, a fellow singer,
songwriter and entertainer, and as of late my duet singing partner.

We've sung her wonderful songs since the late 60's. We've thrilled at her singing since before that. My wife, Anita, looked up to her as one of
her main heroes for much of her life. But, we never had a chance to share the stage with Dottie Rambo and sing in one of her concerts until a
Sunday night exactly 3 weeks before her tragic death. Larry Ferguson, her manager, and Chris Barnes, her product manager/webmaster,
had to help her onto the stage, as she was still recovering from a broken leg. They helped her onto a special chair.. and did a full solid 2
hours! She kept the crowd on the edge of their seats and sang wonderfully. What a blessing she was! Then, she was so gracious to visit with
us afterward and even pose for pictures with us. How accommodating and sweet of her, especially in the light of the considerable pain she
was experiencing. We even had the opportunity to tell her how much she has meant to us over the years.

Though I had met Larry Ferguson briefly at NQC in Louisville a few years ago, and have exchanged messages with him for some time via
Email and Internet, we first actually got acquainted that night 3 weeks ago. We also met Chris Barnes and Ronnie Meadows, her bus driver.
We got to talk with each of them that Sunday night and got to know them. But, exactly three weeks later, I was in the ICU ward of one of our
local hospitals, as I took turns standing beside the bedsides of Larry, Chris and Ronnie - praying for each of them that God would bring quick
and complete healing to them. I even got to pray for Larry’s father, who had just arrived in from Kentucky.

So - we went from the thrill of sharing the stage and visiting with Dottie Rambo to the horror of losing her and witnessing the considerable
injuries sustained by members of her team - all within the short span of just 3 weeks. We are now remembering Dottie's family and those
injured in prayer, bringing their needs before our forever Faithful God. Though we are sad and concerned for them, we cannot help but
rejoice that Dottie is now in a place where she is suffering no more. And now, SHE is teaching angels how to sing.

Ginger and I sat back stage before a concert with Ms. Dottie.  She talked with us about how we should ALWAYS keep our focus on GOD and
let HIM use us in reaching the ones that are hurting.  Also, she shared that we should be protective of Young Harmony Ministry to keep satan
from diverting our minds to other things, so he could control the ministry of Young Harmony.  She talked to me about writing and commented
on a couple of songs that I had written and how she could see my heart in the songs.  She encouraged me to always stand firm on my
writings and never try to play on someones emotions, but always let GOD guide the pen.  After spending a little time with us, she asked if she
could pray for us.  She prayed for GOD to protect, guide, bless and hold us together both as Young Harmony AND as husband and wife.  I
am thankful to have met such an inspirational tool that GOD used regularly.  WELCOME TO HEAVEN Ms. Dottie!

The loving and fond memories I have of Dottie would fill up a book, maybe two.  Few people know how long I have known her, and of all the
special time we shared.  I knew Dottie before I met Bill Gaither .  I will always cherish the laughs, the shopping, the stories and the songs she
privately sang for me. Especially the ones I recorded that she wrote.  It was a special night when I sang "Never Been This Homesick Before" in
Nashville on one of the Gaither videos.  Although she wasn't feeling well that evening and wasn't supposed to appear, when she heard me
singing she came from back stage stood beside me and put her arms around me and the place went wild.  She told me I was the only brown
singer that could feel and interpret any of her songs.  I will forever be grateful for that comment.... I thanked her then and I'll thank her again
when I see her "At the Top".

My memories of Dottie Rambo and the Rambos go back to the early 60's before they were known as the Rambos. They were known as the
Gospel Echos, and during that time Warner Brothers recorded projects on the Oak Ridge Boys, the Gospel Echos and the Couriers. These
were all landmark recordings. It was the first time I became aware of the Rambos and Dottie's writing.

Later in the 60's, after I joined the Oaks Ridge Boys, we worked with the Rambos more than any other act. Dottie was writing so many songs
the Rambos could not possibly include all of her new songs in their shows. She gave us many new songs, which had a major impact on our
career at the time. Songs like, “When I Lift Up My Head,” “Sheltered In The Arms Of God,” “He Looked Beyond My Faults,” “Remind Me, Dear
Lord,” “I'm Sailing Towards Home,” and the list just goes on and on. Throughout our career in Gospel music, Dottie Rambo songs were a
major part of our catalog.

In the early 70's, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Rambos and the Stamps Quartet toured together, working over 100 dates on the Gospel Festival
USA tour. We presented a play called “The Three Nails” and members of each of the three groups helped write, act and direct the play.

More than anything, I considered Dottie to be my friend. She cooked great breakfasts, and she was full of love. I have seen her very sick.
However, the show always went on. She was what we call a “trouper.” She loved to laugh and tell stories. She loved God with all her heart,
and she shared her walk with God in the thousands of songs she wrote.

There is an empty place in my heart today. However, I have those wonderful pieces of magic to fill that void. Few people live and die who
affect the emotions so deeply as Dottie Rambo. I am sad, but I can also smile. I will have my memories and her songs will stay with me until I
see her again.

My prayers are with Reba, Buck and all of the family and grandchildren—and the many fans and friends who feel the loss. My prayers are
also with all of those who were traveling with Dottie, as well. May God restore their health.

Dottie was a wonderful friend and an inspiration to so many.  When I heard of her home-going I can't help but believe that as she entered the
presence of Jesus the angels were singing one of her God-given songs.  I will miss her so much but earth's loss is Heaven's and Dottie's gain.

I'll always remember the first concert that I heard The Rambos....outside in Brewton, Ala. I remember saying to my friend...' what a sound '.
Many attributes can be given about Dottie; but what stuck with me is that everytime I saw her, she always had time to say 'Hello' and talk; no
matter how many or who was around. " Well Done Thy Good And Faithful Servant".

I first met Dottie in the mid-sixties when I was with the Speers...the Gospel Echoes were beginning to do some concerts and we worked
several with them.

Then as time went on and they changed their name to The Rambos, we all began to sing Dottie's songs..and a lot of us copied their
arrangements.  I loved Dottie's voice, especially on songs like "Ten Thousand Years" (I've even been told I do a pretty good imitation of her
on that song :) ).

I've sung her "Sheltered in the Arms of God" since 1969.  For the past several years, every time I saw her at a Gaither taping, TBN TV Show,
etc. she'd say, "Ann, are you gonna sing MY song tonight?"...meaning Sheltered.  That song is Dottie to  me!!

I'll never forget her talking and then singing "I Will Glory in the Cross" at Paul's funeral...she made it so personal and real for me, encouraging
me and even tho she was really hoarse and didn't feel good, she gave it all she had...and I know Paul smiled down from Heaven as his friend
Dottie helped us all that day to remember that Jesus had died to heal the sorrow we were all experiencing.

I'll sure miss her...and I can just hear her sing better than ever...

"Soon I'll come to the end of my journey
And I'll meet the One Who gave His life for me
I will thank Him for the love that He gave me
And ten thousand years or more, I'll reign with Him".

Dottie was a great friend, I have spent many hours on the phone talking with her about songs, I had heard many of the stories first hand of
how some of the greatest songs every written came to be. I have stored them in my memory bank, more precious than gold. What treasures
she left behind, New Shoes, The Holy Hills, Tears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That City, Build My Mansion Next Door To Jesus. WOW,
just to think, that was looking thru a dark glass. Now everything is clear, Honey, put on those new shoes and kick up your heels, You're Home
Now.

Long before I ever knew God for myself, I experienced His beautiful presence for the first time listening to Dottie's songs. It was my first
encounter with The Holy Ghost that I can remember, and also my first encounter with the "I want to be a gospel singer bug".

Dottie was one of a kind. She contributed so much to anyone who was blessed to come in contact with her.
We will miss her so much. We love you precious friend, you were so much fun! "Dance around the throne one time for me!"

For two years I sat in the shadows and accompanied Ms. Dottie as her conductor and pianist as she presented her "Concert of Love" series
nationwide. Each afternoon I would go to the local florist and buy her a rose and some babies breath for her to wear in her hair during the
evening performance. She always wore the roses with grace and dignity and consistantly gave great performances.

Tho I am saddened at her leaving I know full well she is now enjoying the pleasures she so skillfully wrote about. Today her back is straight
again, her voice is bright and her guitar strumming has a stronger downbeat than ever before. In all probability The Father met her at the
gate with a heavenly rose and a hearty "Well done my good and faithful servant!"

Goodbye Ms.Dottie.. Enjoy your new home. Joyfully hum and strum, barefoot, forever, "Where The Roses Never Fade" See ya in the morning

The first "ticketed" concert I ever attended as a child was at the Asheville Civic Center (Asheville, NC).  It featured The Downings and The
Rambos.  That night, I fell in love with the rich three-part harmony of the Rambos and this music we call Southern Gospel.  Dottie's influence
on my early life is why, in part, I do what I do for a living today.  Perhaps with a Heavenly perspective now, Dottie can see the widespread
effect that her music and writing has had on those that have sung her songs and those who have and will hear her songs.  Thanks especially
for "Tears Will Never Stain..", "We Shall Behold Him" and of course "Sheltered In The Arms Of God".  Dottie, you will be missed, but we all will
keep singing your songs until Jesus comes.

Dottie Rambo was a great woman of God.  She always had something kind to say to me every time I saw her.  We were very fortunate to have
worked with Dottie on several Frank Arnold concerts.  The second half of the program was always a "Tribute to Dottie Rambo."  Many times I
would stand in "awe" of the fact that we were singing her songs while she was cheering us on!  Once, at Crabbfest, New River performed on
an afternoon showcase with Dottie.  Very casually we began to comment on her "huge" diamond ring.  She took it off and placed it on my
finger.  (I have a picture in our office.)  While the ladies in the audience and I were drooling over it, Dottie made a few jokes and then alluded
to the fact that it was "no big deal" and she shrugged it off.  Anyone who knew Dottie knows she was more concerned with spiritual gain that
earthly worth.  Among Dottie's many gifts, was her ability to make everyone feel special.  Because of her many anointed songs, Dottie's
ministry will live with us forever.  It was an honor to have known her.  She will be greatly missed.
