JUDY BRANNIN HOSPITALIZED
Southern Gospel booking agent and promoter,.. Judy Brannin (The Brannin Agency) is in a Spartanburg, SC hospital this weekend. Our reporter spoke with Judy via telephone on Friday. Brannin says,.. earlier this week, before being admitted to the facilty, her breathing had become difficult. Doctors are again treating Judy for complications related to respiratory failure and COPD. She says conditions seem to be worsening.
UPDATE 5/24/09: On Sunday doctors advised Brannin that they would need to perform surgery in order to help remedy her breathing problems. Judy told us she was not sure the exact nature of the procedure. The surgery is scheduled for Monday morning (05/25/09). Although Judy appreciates and thanks everyone for the recent visits,.. doctors are asking that she receive no visitors until after the surgery.
Judy joked about geting a "Jazzy power chair" so she could ride around the National Quartet Convention,.. saying: " I want to see how many people I can run over!" Brannin also added: "I have to try and make light of this situation.. becuase I am scared. I know God will take care of me. He has me in his hands."
