LeFEVRE QUARTET REMEMBERS EVA MAE
Following the announcement of Gospel legend Eva Mae LeFevre's passing.. the LeFevre Quartet issued a special statement.
Mike LeFevre recalled Eva Mae's appearance on a yet to be released project,.. recorded only weeks before his aunt's 90th birthday. Mike says: "She was gracious, kind, and still a masterful MC. As she shared her faith and music that night, she captivated that crowd with her humor and trademark laugh. She always had this amazing ability to transport an audience from laughter to tears and back again in a split second." According to the LeFevre Qt press information.. the night of the live recording, Eva Mae reminisced about her family and work. Onlookers said: "As she talked about the husband and children, who preceded her in death, there was a distant look of longing in her eye."
Mike adds that there is no one who influenced him more than Eva Mae. "As a child, I remember going to see the LeFevres sing,.. going on their bus and admiring everything they did. The music industry has lost a lady and a legend."
