SEGOS FAREWELL CD RELEASES IN JUNE
Naomi and the Segos are busy working on their new CD.. titled: Happy Ending. According to Kasey Kemp, lead singer for the group, dozens of writers have been submitting songs,.. in hopes of getting a cut on, what will be, the farewell recording for this legendary group. Kemp says: "I think this goes to show that Naomi has a great respect from the songwriters in our industry."
Happy Ending will feature mostly new songs.. and a few classics. Naomi Sego Reeder talks about one of the tunes she likes best.. I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand): "I've always loved this song. I'd always thought it a man's song, but Colbert and Joyce (songwriters) re-arranged a few words just for me. I'm so glad they did. This one has become one of my favorites on the
recording."
The first single, "991/2", written by co-producer Wayne Haun, will be shipped to radio in April. The complete project will be released in June 2008.
